The Library Night, an annual all-Russian event, will take place on Saturday, April 24. This year it is devoted to the 60^th anniversary of the first manned flight into space. For the first time, the Regional Scientific Library named after V.A. Artisevich, SSU, will join it.

The topic of the 2021 Library Night is The Book – The Way to The Stars. The SSU library invites students and staff of Saratov University to take part in the events the librarians have prepared. Their programme is titled The World Consists of Stars and People..., and it is dedicated to science and technology.

In the conference room on the fourth floor at 5 p.m. a meeting-discussion will begin on the following topic – The World of Children in Cixin Liu’s Supernova Era, for which you need to register in advance using the link.

In the catalogue hall on the second floor at 6 p.m. there will be announced the results of the children drawing competition titled The Way to the Stars. The event is open to the public.

The library visitors will be entertained by the artists of the SSU Student Club, who have prepared the concert named The World Consists of Stars and People .... It will take place in the conference room on the fourth floor at 7 p.m. To get to the event, you need to pre-register, as the number of seats is limited due to the pandemic.

The event participants will be able to get acquainted with the philatelic virtual exhibitions titled The Macrocosm in Microcosm and The Space in Miniature; the book and illustration exhibitions titled The Evolution of the Universe, The Space: Saratov Pages, The Noctilucent Clouds in Saratov Region, Pushing the Boundaries of the Unknown, and The Unknown Worlds. Man in Space; the book and deltiology exhibition titled The Heroes of Space; the book exhibition called The Editions about Comets. 1944-1987; the illustrative exhibitions maned The Visualisation of Fantasy. The discovery of the cosmos. Nikolai Grishin and The Visualisation of Science Fiction. The War of the Worlds by H. Wells and H. A. Corrêa.
