On August 24, the iVolga Youth Forum of the Volga Federal District finished. This year, the forum has been once again held online, and its participants and speakers were able to efface the boundaries and get in touch from anywhere in the world. About 5 thousand people from 72 Russian regions confirmed their participation as residents, of which more than 4 thousand are representatives of Volga Federal District.
At the forum the All-Russian competition of youth projects of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs was also held. The finalists of the grant competition were: a 1st-year master degree student of the Faculty of Sociology, an activist of the SSU Undergraduate and Graduate Student Council Julia Ilyashenko and a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Law, Deputy Chair of the SSU Undergraduate and Graduate Student Council Daria Kukhareva.
Julia won a grant from the All-Russian competition of youth projects of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs within the iVolga VFD Youth Forum to hold an All-Russian Student Forum.
‘The project is an educational platform aimed at identifying and developing the leaders of student and youth associations, media centres, environmental volunteers, at training in writing socially significant projects and their further support. The forum will unite active youth from various regions of our country in Saratov Region. Our forum will provide many tools for leaders of various associations, theoretical and practical recommendations for media representatives and volunteer environmentalists and will involve the youth community in projects, which will help them become authors of their own ideas,’ the winner shared her thoughts.
In the nearest future, according to Julia, it is necessary to develop the regulations and programme of the forum with the moderators’ team, share the information about it and open registration for participants.
Taking into account the new format of the session this year, the participants were able to take one of eight courses: Science and Technology, Dorbolife, Residence, My Business, Student Leaders, Leaders of Changes, State Youth Policy, and Children iVolga.
As part of the cultural programme, the participants were expected to daily exercise live with Russian athletes and Olympic champions. In the evening, entertainment events were held for the participants, including the Evening of CFW with the Vyatka team, the final district stage of the What? Where?
