Saratov University Participates in Congress of Young Scientists

The Congress of Young Scientists is held in Sochi from 8 to 10 December. And this is the main event of the Year of Science and Technology. As part of the congress, there is the Vuzpromexpo-2021 scientific and educational exhibition. It has become a presentation venue of advanced scientific and technological developments of leading Russian universities and industrial companies.

Saratov University is represented at the congress by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Igor Malinskii. The event of the year is attended by young researchers from the our university – the heads of youth grants from Russian Science Foundation, winners of presidential grants: Senior Researcher of the Remote Controlled Theranostic Systems Lab. Olga Goryacheva; Associate Professor of the Department of Semiconductor Physics Maria Lomova; Assistant-Researcher of the  Research-to-Education Manthematics Center titled the Mathematics of Advanced Technologies German Guyo; Associate Professor of the Department of Dynamic Modelling and Biomedical Engineering Yekaterina Borovkova and Junior Researcher Victoria Skazkina; Assistant of the Educational Laboratory of Electronics Yuliya Gubanova; Senior Researchers of the Remote Controlled Theranostic Systems Lab. Oksana Mayorova, Yuliya Svenskaya, and Olga Sindeeva; Engineer of the Education-to-Research Laboratory of Statistical Analysis and Modelling Dmitrii Melnichuk; Engineer of the Research Medical Centre, SSU, Yurii Surkov; Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry Arsenii Ushakov.

At the exhibition, which is held by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, there will be summed up the results of the Science and Universities national project and the participants will determine the development directions for further implementation of the Priority-2030 programme. In addition, it is planned to discuss the development of the innovative potential of universities and technological entrepreneurship in universities, the creation of high-quality conditions for students and postgraduates for study and research.

Dmitrii Melnichuk will make a presentation on the Analysis and synthesis of controlled combined dynamic systems and present the results of research developments of the Education-to-Research Laboratory of Statistical Analysis and Modelling.

‘Undoubtedly, it is one of the most important events of the year for universities, which brought together interesting people from the world of science, business, politics, and culture at the venues of the congress. Everything is organised at the highest level. A wide range of issues is discussed, which experts from different fields express their opinions on, and it gives a more voluminous picture. We exchange our experience and share opinions, receive a huge amount of information, which inspires,’ Vice-Rector Igor Malinskii shared his impressions.

The Congress of Young Scientists started on Wednesday at Sirius Science and Arts Park in Sochi. In total, more than 3 thousand young scientists, students, postgraduates, schoolchildren, winners of grant competitions as well as leading world-class Russian researchers, representatives of high-tech enterprises, and heads of relevant government bodies take part in it.

The business programme of the congress provides for more than 90 discussions, sessions, panel discussions, and plenary sessions on five tracks: the Year of Science and Technology, the Management and Investment, the Interaction and Cooperation, the Infrastructure and Environment, and the Human Resources and Human Capital.
