Dear colleagues, students, and postgraduates!

Today, December 19, we celebrate the birthday of our alma mater – Saratov University. 112 years have passed since the founding of one of the oldest and leading research and educational centres in Russia.

We can list our numerous status and titles: Imperial Nikolai University, Saratov State named after N.G. Chernyshevsky, a university awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labour, and in modern history – a national research university, a member of the Priority 2030 federal programme ...

All these prominent names demonstrate the historical significance of Saratov University, its importance in the region, country and world. We are proud of each of our victories and we understand that we have achieved such results due to the efforts of the entire team. Only together we make massive progress.

At the same time, we must remember that SSU is a big House. A house where teaching staff members, employees, enrollees, students, alumni, and partners coexist. It seems that almost everything is possible here, because the main thing is faith in our capabilities, science, the energy of youth, and the power of experience.

May it be warm and cosy in our House. May the lessons learned here stay with us for the whole life. May the dialogue between generations be productive.

Happy foundation anniversary, friends! May the 113th university year be even more generous with happy events for each of us!
