PRO100 SSU Youth Project to Receive Grant of iVolga Forum

The anniversary 10th iVolga Youth Forum of Volga Federal District was held in Samara Region on Mastryukov Lakes. It was supervised by the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President in Volga Federal District Igor Komarov and supported by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. The event brought together more than two thousand young people from the regions of Russia and Volga District, as well as guests from the Republic of Belarus, and the People's Republics of Luhansk and Donetsk.

Saratov Region was represented at the annual meeting by a delegation of 97 people, including 15 activists of Saratov University.

This year, the forum participants passed the course consisted of nine profile shifts – My People, Manage the Future, Do the Deed, Goodness Mission, the Place of Residence, Creation, the Practice laboratory, Children's iVolga, and State Youth Policy.

During the course, they attended training sessions, participated in a competition of youth projects, research-to-practice conferences, master classes, interregional interuniversity open competitions in various areas, as well as visited exhibitions, fairs of initiatives, meetings with experts at the federal, district, and regional levels.

The students and postgraduates took part in two grant competitions – the district and all-Russian ones. The first one included three areas: business projects, projects in state youth policy and the Ethnic and Cultural Diversity and Unity of Peoples projects. The All-Russian grant competition consisted of 15 directions. The forum residents had an opportunity to win up to 1.5 million rubles to support their initiatives.

In the grant competition of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs in the #inspire nomination, a student of the Institute of Physics, a record manager of the Office for the Development of Youth Initiatives Artyom Smalyuga won a grant to implement the project 8th PRO100 All-Russian Student Forum project.

The PRO100 All-Russian Student Forum is an educational venue that is held at Saratov University. It is aimed at identifying and developing leaders of student and youth associations, media centres, environmental volunteers, training in writing socially significant projects and their further support. The directions of the forum are aimed at involving young people in mass media, the development of self-government, and volunteering.

‘I am glad that I was able to successfully represent Saratov University at the iVolga and share the achievements of our youth. The PRO100 forum is of particular importance for students of the entire Saratov Region and the country because it is at the forum site that they can express themselves, their creative and professional skills, gain experience, and new acquaintances,’ Artyom Smalyuga said.

According to the results of the anniversary iVolga youth forum of Volga Federal District, as well as in the overall rating of the regions of Volga Federal District Saratov Region took the third place.
