SSU and Ministry of Education of Saratov Region Signed Agreement

The PRO.Education 64. Vectors of Development August educational forum is held in Saratov. 20 thousand teachers are taking part in it. On the first day of the event, SSU was presented by Acting Rector, Vice-Rector for Administrative Work and Human Resources Management Andrei Stalmakhov, Vice-Rector for Secondary Professional Education and Social Work Olga Nesterova, and Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Organisational Work Anton Golovchenko.

The PRO.Education 64. Vectors of Development Forum started on August 18 and will continue its work today, on August 19. This is an annual meeting of employees of the educational system of Saratov Region, where its members discuss the results of the past academic year and the readiness of educational institutions for the new one, as well as topical issues of education development, trends, and prospects.

The first day of the forum was held at Aviator Gymnasium. There the participants discussed how to form the ideology of education and the principles of personnel policy of the region, taking into account trends and challenges. Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Organisational Work Anton Golovchenko spoke at the Ideology of Modern Education: From Concept to Implementation strategic session in the Children's Youth Public Associations track. In his report, the vice-rector spoke about the role of student groups in moral development, the preservation of traditions, and patriotic education of young people. Other tracks were also held during the session namely The Volunteer Movement, The Upbringing Advisor, The Trends in Regional Supplementary Education, and The Work with Parent Communities.

At the New Approaches to the Regional Personnel Policy Considering Trends and Challenges strategic session, its participants discussed the unity of the education and management of the region, according with new approaches to personnel policy. The moderators were Rector of the state autonomous institution of continuing professional education titled The Saratov Regional Institute of Education Development Elena Gubanova and Chair of the Public Council under the Ministry of Education of Saratov Region Sergei Saratovskii. The speakers of the meeting were Children Ombudsman Tatyana Zagorodnyaya, Vice-Rector for the Development of General and Supplementary Education, SRIoED Svetlana Goremyko, Chair of the Saratov Regional Organisation of the Trade Union of Workers of Public Education and Science of the Russian Federation Nikolai Timofeyev, and other experts.

At the end of the first day of the forum, an agreement between the Ministry of Education and Saratov University was signed. This year, the cooperation is connected with the implementation of the Priority 2030 federal programme, where SSU is participating, Also, it is aimed at increasing the university's contribution to the socio-economic development of the region and the implementation of new projects.

‘It has already become a good tradition to sign agreements with Saratov State University before the start of the new academic year at the regional educational forum. This year, the University has an ambitious project – the Priority 2030. Duew to it, in fact, the institution of higher education has an opportunity to look boldly into the future. We are very grateful to the management of the university, where pedagogical education has become one of the few priorities,’ Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Education of Saratov Region Mikhail Orlov said.

‘A year ago, it was really difficult for our university to win in the Priority 2030 federal programme, which consists of five strategic projects. One of these projects is called The Teacher in the Educational Paradigm. Saratov University is the only university in the region that trains teachers. Throughout the year, we conducted classes in the Virtual Pedagogical Classroom. Most recently, a summer pedagogical networking for young teachers was held. We really appreciate the business relations that connect us with the Ministry of Education of Saratov Region, and we feel the support of our projects,’ Andrei Stalmakhov, in turn, said.

The second day of the forum will be held at Boarding School 64. The strategy for the development of general and secondary vocational education will be discussed at the meeting. The moderator of the Career Guidance track will be Head of Priority Projects and Programmes, SSU, Elena Yelina. Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems and Educational Technologies Marina Khramova will supervise the Digital Competencies as the Basis for the Transformation of Education track. Chair of the Department of Information Systems and Educational Technologies Natalia Alexandrova will act as a speaker of the Digital Workshop of a Pedagogue (Teacher, Nursery Teacher) track, and Associate Professor of the same department Olga Litvinova will become one of the moderators of the Digital Educational Environment: Features, Differences, and Novelty track.
