The second day of the August educational forum was held at Boarding School 64. At the strategic sessions, the staff of Saratov University acted as moderators and speakers of educational tracks and discussed the development of general and secondary vocational education.

At the From the Image of an Ideal Russian School to the Formation of Unified Educational Environment strategic session, one of the moderators of the Career Guidance track was Head of Priority Projects and Programmes, SSU, Elena Yelina. The main topics of the track discussion were issues of professional self-determination, choice of profession, the role of a family, professional communities, and business in the career guidance of children.

Elena Yelina made a presentation titled From the School Desk to the Teacher's Board: A New Strategic Project of Saratov University. She presented the fifth stratproject titled The University as a Centre of Continuous Teacher Education as Part of Social Practices of the 21st century (Teachers in the Educational Paradigm). At the beginning of her speech, Elena Yelina reminded that a year ago SSU entered the Priority 2030 federal programme for the development of universities.

She noted that out of the five projects presented in the Priority 2030 programme of Saratov University, four are aimed at various fields of science. The fifth project is that teacher training should begin while studying at school, and motivated children can come to the university as applicants. The project included three important components: the Virtual Pedagogical Classroom, SSU, the improvement of syllabi of the university, and the training of young teachers.

Last year, students from all over Saratov Region studied in the Virtual Pedagogical Classroom, SSU, first online, and at the end of May they “de-virtualised” and came to the graduation in Bldg. X. The participants met online with university professors every week, did their homework, and attended consultations on the Unified State Exams. One of the classes with the pupils of the pedagogical classroom was conducted by the Minister of Education of Saratov region Mikhail Orlov. This year, a new stream is planned, every student of 10th and 11th grades will be able to become a member of the SSU Pedagogical Classroom.

The next component of the Teacher in the Educational Paradigm strategic project was the syllabi of the university. In the speech, it was noted that out of 20 thousand students, almost 5,5 thousand are getting education in the enlarged group in education and pedagogy. In addition, Elena Yelina told the audience about 28 SSU master's degree courses and cooperation with SRIDE and Gymnasium No. 7.

Elena Yelina also spoke about the summer pedagogical networking, which was held at the university at the beginning of August. The original programme was developed, consisting of hackathons, master classes, speech sessions, and lectures.

At the end of her speech, she invited everyone to cooperate with Saratov University. ‘The university is especially interested in teachers who see future colleagues in their students, as well as in young teachers who work for the first three years. SSU is ready to help them and support them with the plentiful resources that can be found at Saratov University.’

The second part of the final day of the forum was the Transition to Digital Education: Strategies, Digital Technologies, New Competencies strategic session. Associate Professor of the Department of Information Systems and Educational Technologies Marina Khramova will supervise the Digital Competencies as the Basis for the Transformation of Education track.
